New CPA Module for UL’s EMV Personalization Validation Tool
September 4, 2017 - UL is pleased to announce the Common Payment Application (CPA) Validation Module for the UL EMV Personalization Validation Tool. This new module allows issuers, card personalization bureaus and card manufacturers to test personalization validation of CPA based chip cards.
The UL EMV Personalization Validation Tool is the market leading tool for testing EMV payment products according to card personalization regulations from the major payment associations. The CPA Validation Module is a new module based on the Common Payment Application (CPA). It allows you to validate the correctness of the card’s personalization according to the latest CPA requirements. Customers with CPA chip card implementations will benefit from this new module as it will help them reduce the time to market and increase their confidence during testing of CPA chip cards.
The UL EMV Personalization Validation Tool is a comprehensive test tool for issuers, card personalization bureaus and card manufacturers that want to validate the personalization of their contact/contactless payment cards and mobile payment applications. It checks the correctness of a card application personalization and provides full, readable reports including explanations of errors and observations found. Any EMV card application, Secure Element application or cloud-based payment application can easily be checked according to the latest (test) specifications from EMVCo, Mastercard, Visa, JCB, Discover, Diners Club International, Union Pay and domestic payment schemes. Through the service portal, the tool is always up to date with the latest requirements and specifications from international and domestic payment schemes.
