PCI PIN on COTS – The Changing Face of POS

The Software PIN on COTS (SPoC) standard, recently released by PCI, marks a watershed in PIN acceptance – providing for the first time detailed standards on how PINs can be securely entered on Commercial Off The Shelf devices.  But what are the hidden details of this standard? Does this mean the ‘death’ of the traditional PIN entry terminal, or even the death of PIN entry all together?  This talk will provide details on the new standard, the testing to be performed, and how best to exploit this new system to drive the growth of your payment business.

EMV 3-D Secure 2.0 – Enhancing Security and User Experience in e-commerce

EMV 3-D Secure 2.0 is the next generation of the industry standard 3-D Secure (3DS) online authentication for use with electronic commerce payment. Owned and managed by EMVCo, the final version of 3DS Specifications was released on October 2017 and is licensed for use to 3rd parties to develop products based on these specifications. But what specifically is changing and how this new generation of 3DS will increase online approvals in e-commerce, reduce online fraud and improve user experience when transacting online? What about the testing and approval process to ensure that products are being deployed accordingly the new standard? This talk will provide some insights on the new standard and how the testing and approval will be performed.
